M.T.H. Electric Trains Revised Dealer Service Rates And Discounts

January 1, 2024 - M.T.H. Electric Trains has revised its policy and terms for out-of-warranty repairs returned to us for repair from any M.T.H. Authorized Retailer. The new policy ensures that our terms are consistent for all M.T.H. Authorized Retailers and more inline with industry standards.

 

The new Out-of-Warranty Service terms are as follows:

 

  • All items returned for repair from any customer type (Consumer, Direct M.T.H. Authorized Retailer, Indirect M.T.H. Authorized Retailer, Authorized Service Center (ASC), National Authorized Service Center (NASC) and M.T.H. Authorized Distributor) will be billed $55/hour for labor charges.
  • 25% Discount On Parts used for Out-of-Warranty Repairs for all items returned to us for repair by Direct M.T.H. Authorized Retailers, Indirect M.T.H. Authorized Retailers, Authorized Service Centers, National Authorized Service Centers and M.T.H. Authorized Distributors.

     

    The new Parts Ordering terms are as follows:

     

  • 25% Discount On Parts Ordered by any Direct or Indirect M.T.H. Authorized Retailer or Indirect M.T.H. Authorized Retailer who is NOT an M.T.H. Authorized Service Center (ASC) or M.T.H. National Authorized Service Center (NASC).
  • ASC and NASC Retailers will continue to receive their normal parts discount.

     

    Date of Manufacture Warranty Terms Explained

    Beginning November 1, 2014, all M.T.H. Authorized Retailers should be aware that all items returned to M.T.H. for repair will be considered an Out-of-Warranty repair if that item was NOT returned within five years from the month and year of manufacture as per our warranty terms. Beginning November 1, 2014, the Date of Manufacture can be determined by reviewing an item's detail page on the new M.T.H. Website.

     

    As of November 1, 2014, any item sporting a Shipping Date that reads: Delivered OCT. 2011 or earlier will be considered an Out-of-Warranty repair. On each subsequent month after November 1, 2014, any item sporting a Shipping Date that reads earlier than the previous month and five years or earlier will be considered an Out-of-Warranty repair. For example, On Jan. 1, 2024, items will be considered an Out-of-Warranty repair if they show a shipping date of Delivered Dec. 2018, on Feb. 1, 2024, items will be considered an Out-of-Warranty repair if they show a shipping date of Delivered Jan. 2019, on March. 1, 2024, items will be considered an Out-of-Warranty repair if they show a shipping date of Delivered Feb. 2019 and so forth.
